2QQQ is a Unity animation that explores the computation of identity and disillusionment. Its protagonist, Q, inhabits a digital world that increasingly imposes its structures, expectations, and limitations upon her, materializing as a low-polygon maze of city buildings. In an act of resistance, or perhaps protest, she searches for a place inhabited by no one but herself.
Volumetric scanning was chosen as a deliberately tongue-in-cheek medium, allowing Q to retain an imperfect sense of physical presence while remaining visually constrained by her low-poly world. This project would not be possible without the Depthkit Studio system. All assets are open-source.
